NYT Wordle #1472 (June 30th): Cracking the Code with My Hints!
Good morning, wordlers! Another Monday, another Wordle challenge. Today's puzzle, #1472, proved to be a bit of a head-scratcher for me, but with a little strategic thinking, I managed to conquer it. If you're still grappling with today's word, I'm here to help!
Before we reveal the answer, let's talk strategy. My approach to Wordle always involves a strong starting word that gives me a good spread of common letters. Today, I went with "CRANE," a solid choice that yielded a couple of yellows.
My Hints (without spoiling the answer!):
- Hint 1: The word contains two vowels, but neither is an 'A' or an 'E'.
- Hint 2: There are no repeated letters.
- Hint 3: The word has a strong nautical connection.
Did those hints help you narrow it down? If not, here's a slightly more direct clue:
Hint 4: Think about a type of sailing vessel.
Still stuck? Okay, let's move on to…
The Answer:
The answer to Wordle #1472 is "SLOOP".
My Gameplay:
My first guess, "CRANE," gave me a yellow 'R' and a yellow 'E'. This immediately eliminated a lot of possibilities. My second guess used the 'R' and 'E' in different positions, helping me further refine my options. From there, it was a matter of careful deduction, using the hints above, until "SLOOP" magically appeared!
